As your are the sender of the message, the notification is not displayed on your computers, however your message is displayed in the main window (history of received messages).
You can also send messages by using the command line with parameters. This is where LM LAN Messaging is the most useful as other software can use it to send messages.
For instance:
"C:\Program Files\LM Gestion\LM LAN Messaging\LMLANMessaging.exe" /send:"Your message" /from:"Sender Name"
Then /send: parameter is used for the message to send (surround it with double quotes if the message contains space).
The /from: parameter is used for the sender name of the message (surround it with double quotes if the sender name contains space), otherwis the sender name is the one specified in the options of LM LAN Messaging.
Note : When LM LAN Messaging is launched from the command line, it search a previous instance and use it for sending messages (LM LAN Messaging connect to itself by using .Net Remoting).
