"Unable to open XMLTV file" error message

Check that :

• You can open your XMLTV file in Internet Explorer without errors and warnings.
• You have the DTD file in the same directory of your XMLTV file.

Import seems to be successfull but I can't see any program in SageTV EPG

Check that your XMLTV file contains programs. Review the Windows event viewer log to see if any Importer errors are listed.

You can also consult the SageTV import log : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LM Gestion\SageTV XMLTV Importer\GuideData\sage.plugin.log for Windows XP or C:\ProgramData\LM Gestion\SageTV XMLTV Importer\GuideData\sage.plugin.log for Windows Vista

When I select the XMLTV option during video source setup in SageTV I can't see any lineup

Please verify that the Importer was setup successfully:

• You must have Java Runtime version 1.5
• You must not have xerces.jar in folders (and subfolders) C:\Program Files\Java and C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\JARs
• You must have a C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\xmltv folder, with these files : XMLTVImportPlugin.class, Program.class, Episode.class, Channel.class (you can copy these files from our Import install folder if needed)
• You must have this line epg/epg_import_plugin=xmltv.XMLTVImportPlugin (case sensitive, must not have any trailing space) in the C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\Sage.properties (this file can also be in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SageTV in Windows Vista)
• You must have a xmltv.properties file in C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV with this line : ThirdPartyGuideDataPath=C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\LM Gestion\\SageTV XMLTV Importer\\GuideData for Windows XP or  C:\\ProgramData\\LM Gestion\\SageTV XMLTV Importer\\GuideData for Windows Vista
• You must have also this folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LM Gestion\SageTV XMLTV Importer\GuideData (C:\ProgramData\LM Gestion\SageTV XMLTV Importer\GuideData for Windows Vista) with some XML files produced by our Importer (those files are loaded by SageTV)

If one of these items is not verified, you can try to either correct it manually or :

Stop SageTV, install the JRE 1.5 if needed, uninstall our Importer, re-install it, launch SageTV and try to configure your tuners.

Can I open an XMLTV file located on another machine via HTTP protocol?

Yes, you can simply type the URL of the file in the importer (http://....) instead of a file path (C:\....)

The description of the programs with the same title are the same

This is expected behavior when the importer looks for program title and episode title for identifying unique programs, try to use another identity detection method in the Importer (like based on description or air date).

How to enable and configure hidden options?

Download this xml file, it contains the advanced settings for the Importer, just put it in the installation folder of the Importer and edit the various settings inside (a description is provided for each setting in the file).

I receive an error message "System.BadImageFormatException" when I try to install the Importer

Please uninstall the old version of the XMLTV Importer and you'll be able to install the new vesion

The Importer crash with a "System.MissingMethodException"

Please uninstall completely the XMLTV Importer and install it again.

I cannot record all the episodes of a series
