You can use LM Remote KeyMap to issue channel change commands through your USB-UIRT or MCE Remote blaster within SageTV.
To do this you first need to create an IR device within LM Remote KeyMap and learn all digits buttons used on your device.
Then you'll have to install the plugin into SageTV. The plugin files are located into :
- "C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\LM Gestion\LM Remote KeyMap\plugins\SageTV" for Windows XP
- "C:\ProgramData\LM Gestion\LM Remote KeyMap\plugins\SageTV" for Windows Vista
You'll find in this folder, one DLL file (LMSTVIRTuner.dll), as well as the subfolder RemoteCodes\LM Remote KeyMap (with .ir files in them corresponding to the IR devices created in LM Remote KeyMap).
You'll need to copy those files and folders in the "C:\Program Files\SageTV\Common" folder. Once SageTV is restarted, you are ready to use the SageTV channel change plugin.
Configure the plugin in SageTV
To use the plugin in SageTV you'll need to delete the video source you want to use with this plugins and recreate it.
When you create the video source, SageTV will ask you if you want to use an external Cable or Satellite receiver. Select this option
Then SageTV show you the list of available tuning plugin. You should see LM Remote KeyMap in the list (if you do not it's either because the plugin dll was not copied into the Common folder, or because SageTV was not restarted after copying the plugin dll). Select LM Remote KeyMap.
Finish the source configuration as usual (EPG / Channels) and return to the video source details screen. You'll see that the "Tuner Control" is "LM Remote KeyMap StubDevice", that is for now there is no specific device selected. Click on the "Tuner Control" option.
SageTV now displays the options you can choose for the tuning plugin. Click on the "Change Tuning Device" option.
SageTV will now list all the devices you created in LM Remote KeyMap (if you add a device after installing the plugin, you'll need to copy the .ir files produced by LM Remote KeyMap in the RemoteCodes\LM Remote KeyMap folder). Simply select the device you want to change channels on.
Exit the source setup. SageTV will now use LM Remote KeyMap to change the channels. Of course LM Remote KeyMap Blaster service needs to be running for channel change to occurs otherwise nothing will happen.
