LM Remote KeyMap : How to wake-up your PC with the USB-UIRT

The USB-UIRT is able to wake-up your computer from sleep if you set it up to do so. The USB-UIRT can recognize up to four IR codes that will wake-up you computer, these IR codes must be programmed into the flash memory of the USB-UIRT.

To program the USB-UIRT you'll need to download the USB-UIRT Learn Helper Utility (this is a software created by the USB-UIRT manufacturer).

Unzip the lnrnhelper.exe, from the zip file you downloaded, to the directory of your choice. Stop the LM Remote KeyMap Blaster Service (otherwise the Learn Helper Utility will not be able to access the USB-UIRT device).

Go into the "File" / "Wake-Up Configuration" menu, this will open the Wake-Up configuration dialog

In this dialog choose a "Wake-up IR Slot" then click on the "Learn" button and press the button on your remote you want to use to wake-up your PC. Once the code is learned, click on the "Program Flash" button.

Note: if you remote do send two different IR codes each time you press on a button, you'll have to learn two IR codes (one in Slot 1, the other in Slot 2) for waking up your PC. To verify that your remote is sending two distinct IR codes you can press on the button while you are in the USB-UIRT Learn Helper Utility: when pressing a button on your remote the IR code sent by the remote is displayed in the Received UIR Event Code field (and flashing red). This way you can see if the remote is sending two codes for a button (alternate from one code to another each time you press the button).

Once you have programmed the USB-UIRT, you can close the Learn Helper utility and restart the LM Remote KeyMap Blaster Service.

Note: Your motherboard / bios need to support waking up the PC from USB devices. You may need to change some BIOS settings for this to happen and also change the USB port where the USB-UIRT is plugged. If the USB-UIRT wake up is not working, please review the USB-UIRT forums for support.
