MCE Blaster working unreliably
Hi,
I have a Hauppauge MCE Remote kit, which came with an MCE remote, and a dual port blaster.

The remote works fine, however the blaster can be a bit flaky most of the time. When i boot up my media client computer then the blaster function will not work at all (The blaster LED does not flash).
To get it to work, I can load the LM Remote Keymap configuration, go to the blaster section, click edit settings and just 'ok' out of everything - Then the blaster magically works.

This computer is frequently put into S3 Standby mode, if that has anything to do with it.
Any idea how i can get this to consistently work?
Great application so far.
Cheers

It seems to me that your svc_settings.xml file might be corrupted (you'll find it in the Config & Log folder you can open from the LM RKM taskbar notification icon)

Delete this file, then restart the LM RKM Blaster Service and go into the LM RKM Main GUI / Learn IR Codes and confirm the blaster is working (this will restore the content of the svc_settings.xml file)

Unfortunately on some system the .Net framework doesn't save correctly xml files (imho it happens when you shut down your computer) living them as 0 bytes file...

Regards,
Stéphane

Re: MCE Blaster working unreliably
I have followed those instructions of recreating the xml file and it seems to be working through normal restarts so far.

Thanks for the help! :)
